The New Jersey sales tax rate
New Jersey imposes a uniform statewide rate of 6.625% with no local additions. This rate has been in effect since January 1, 2018 (reduced from 7%). Urban Enterprise Zone (UEZ) businesses may charge a reduced rate of 3.3125%.
